Kraftbomb

James and I worked our friend Polly's stall this weekend at Kraftbomb while she was out of town. It was pretty fun and I got a chance to do some lovely shopping. I picked up a beautiful organic tshirt from Miss Ellie May with this print on the front:

Letterpress print - miracle and wonder

I love her shop and I am pretty keen to get this as a print too! I also love her stationary, cards and the cat totes too!
Another notable stall was Zippity Doo Dah where I picked up a wee something for a wee someone, but while I was there I fell in love with this Daisy Chain necklace! It was soo sweet but I had already spent over my budget for the day.... maybe next time.

Immortal daisy chain necklace

The end of the uni year is fast approaching and things are getting a little hectic. Final essay was handed in yesterday, YESSSS! Not long to go now... L xo

Long long long...

This girls got me thinking about long, flowy, slimming dresses for spring! I am super jealous of her long long hair too.

Peppersprouts

These ornaments from Peppersprouts are magical!

The weather is still acting crazy around here, so I'm tucked in bed with a hot soy-choc drink and 100's and 1000's biscuits. I ventured outside earlier and nearly got blown away!
I finally got around to seeing An Education. It was quite lovely and I'm looking forward to seeing Carey Mulligan in Never Let Me Go.

Another movie I have recently seen is the new Aussie flick Animal Kingdom. Seriously good, I can't wait to see this one again. It left me feeling shocked - in a good way.

I am still working away on my essay... so easily distracted... L xo

Spring 2011

I love this Spring 2011 collection by ADAM. So pretty and floaty and way out of my price range.

I could post nearly every look from the show, the last ones my favorite for sure. L xo

Wish I May

I am seeking a new wallet, my current one is looking a little battered and bruised, but I've had it for a few years. These ones from Billabong caught my eye:
The other night James and I went and checked out the Anime film Summer Wars. It was a fun one to watch and we both enjoyed it.

However for now my life is my essay I am struggling to get going. Oh the joy.

A Day in September

Today was a busy day, I did everything except my essay. The bathroom got cleaned from top to bottom, birthday presents were bought and James and I got coffee to drink in the park. It was a brilliant day, the flowers were out and.... parsley? Interesting foliage choices going on, Auckland. (wouldn't mind some of that parsley for myself...)

Bicycle

My poor car seems to be on it's last legs. I've spent ridiculous amounts of non-existent money on it, and I'm afraid I would rather not spend any more. It's due for its warrant this month and I am dreading having to make a decision. However... Ive been thinking about alternatives: Bikes. It would be awesome to get a couple of bikes for James and I to ride around this summer. Biking on the city roads scares me to death, but it beats walking to work. Here's some pretties I found on weheartit:

Ahh, September

Last night James was very obliging and accompanied me to a chick flick. We saw Going the Distance, the new Drew Barrymore one after I read this review on Where the Lovely Things Are. And I'd have to agree, it's nice to watch a romcom that is actually semi-believable. Charlie Day was hilarious (I'm a huge fan of Always Sunny in Philadelphia). The movie reminded me of how much a long distance relationship sucks.

Ive been indulging quite a bit in the chick flicks lately... I watched Sex and the City 2 (I'm a fan of the series) and of course it was awful but maybe thats the fun of it. And The Last Song. Oh God, writing it down like this is pretty embarrassing. I can fill my time with good things too, if it's any help I am also reading Hopes and Prospects by Noam Chomsky. And this might be the first time these topics have been mentioned in the same sentence. Bloody hell.

This week is essay writing week. Sooo... I will probably be posting on here, because thats usually how it goes.

Exhibition!

So here are some photos of the work I displayed in our Year Two exhibition. The show was called Two Ten and a full catalogue can be seen over here. There was a great turn out and I had a lovely time, thanks to my friends that came all the way down to have a look!
